The urgency of a job will often determine the response time, here at Apext Mobile Locksmiths we aim to be with emergency call out within 30 – 60 minutes of the customers call and within 1-2 hours of a non-emergency call. We can also book in a time and date that suits the customer for non-emergency call out’s.

Is There A Call Out Fee?

Some locksmiths do charge call out fee’s, however here at Apex Mobile Locksmiths we never charge a call out fee, just parts and labour which you will be quoted on before we arrive to do the job so you know exactly what you will be paying.

Can You Gain Entry Without Changing the Lock?

In most cases it is possible to gain entry to a door without damaging the lock. Apex mobile locksmiths will always use non-destructive entry techniques wherever possible. In some circumstances locks may have to be changed but this is often up to the customer. For example, if keys have been lost or stolen we do recommend that you have the locks changed to ensure no one can access your home using your lost set of keys, but it is down to the customer to make this decision.

How Much will the Parts Cost?

Door type and lock type will affect the cost of any parts required when hiring a Locksmith and the price you can be charged will differ from company to company. For example, the cost for a new lock on a uPVC door will change dependent on size, make, model, and the level of security it holds as there are different standards of locks.

How Many Keys will Come with a Replacement Lock?

Each lock will differ with the number of keys that it comes with, but you should expect to get 2-3 new keys with the installation of a new door lock by an expert Locksmith. Again, it is always best to check the number of the keys with your Locksmith in case you will need extra copies.

Is Locksmith Work Guaranteed?

Are Prices Fixed or Estimated?
